When in Sucre cheesy as the ‘dino mobile’ looks a trip to the dinosaur footprints will exceed your expectations. The cost of a visit is cheap and the prints are extensive – it’s just such a shame & quite unbelievable that such a treasure is still part of a working quarry. The prints scale a sheer rock face which shakes with dynamite explosions from the base even as you watch - let’s hope that UNESCO win their battle and these footprints are preserved for future generations.

Do not miss the world wonder which is the salt flats of Uyuni. There are 2 choices of trip – either a 1 day trip out to the salt flats & back or a 3 day trip across the salt flats and on in to San Pedro De Atacama – Chile. If Chile is on your travel path then this is proably the best trip to take as you will see all the attractions of the salt flats along with the red & green lagoons & flamingos. The 1 day trip will however cover the salt flats element and from Uyuni you can get an overnight train down to the border with Argentina. These trains do not leave every day though so worth checking before you arrive to avoid a prolonged stay in Uyuni. Once in Uyuni every shop is a travel agent and trying to choose who to go with blows your mind – all offer pretty much the same thing the decider needs to be how good their English is and the state of their vehicles. All operators have books with reviews from previous travellers so have a read of these before you decide. We did it with Oasis tours (www.oasistours-bo.com)

La Paz is the unofficial capital of Bolivia and the biggest city at high altitude in the world. It´s a fascinating city, full of markets .. including the notorious witches market where Bolivians buy llama foetuses which hang in the doorways of all the shops – they´re believed to bring good luck if placed in the foundations of a building. For all those that have read ´Marching powder´ – yes the prison is still there but unfortunately when we were there nosy backpackers were no longer permitted access (although in Bolivia money talks so if you’re feeling brave it could be worth a try!).

Information about traveling to and within the country of Spain including flights, rail and road travel and ferry services

Mainland Spain is situated on the Iberian peninsula in the southwest of Europe. It also encompasses two groups of islands. The Islas Baleares (Balearic Islands), in the Mediterranean, Mallorca the largest island is just over one hundred miles off the eastern coast and the Islas Canarias (Canary Islands) which are situated approximately five hundred miles to the southwest and lie off the Atlantic coast of Morocco. Mellila and Cueta are two Spanish enclaves in Morocco on the African continent.

Whilst Spain is one of the world’s leading destinations for the package holiday there is more to this country than the beaches of the costas and islands. The independent traveler will want to move around see what more Spain has to offer.

Getting there – There are thirty one airports on the mainland serving the following cities and towns: A Coruna, Albacete, Alicante, Almería, Asturias, Badajoz, Barcelona, Bilbao, Burgos, Cordoba, Girona, Granada, Jerez de la Frontera, Leon, Madrid, Malaga, Murcia, Pamplona, Reus, Sabadell, Salamanca, San Sebastian, Santander, Santiago, Sevilla, Valencia, Valladolid, Vigo and Zaragoza. In the Canaries the islands of El Hierro, Fuerteventura, Gran Canaria, La Gomera, Lanzarote and Tenerife and in the Balearics Ibiza, Menorca and Mallorca all have airports. Gibraltar, the British colony at the southern most tip of Spain, also has it’s own airport. British Airways and the Monarch fly daily to Gibraltar from several departure points in the United Kingdom and Monarch has some very good deals on seats. Major carriers provide scheduled flights to Spain but it is also a principal destination for budget airlines with return flights available for less than 100 Euros from other European cities. It is also possible to pick up bargain seats on the many charter flights serving the tourist industry. Air travel within Spain, with the exception of a couple of budget airlines, is expensive.

Major roads provide access from Portugal to the west and France which borders Spain to the northeast. Road travel within the country can vary. Many roads are not of a good standard but Spain has received billions of Euros in aid from the European Union and much of this has been spent on the infrastructure and so it is also possible to travel on some of the newest and finest roads on the continent. The country is well served by many bus companies linking the major towns and cities with express services. There are also a wealth of local bus services.

The train service is well developed enabling access to the country from both Portugal and France and fast travel between towns and cities within Spain. Fares are cheap compared to some other major European countries. Madrid and Barcelona are served by extensive Metro (underground railway) networks.

In addition to the many inter island services ferries run from the mainland to both the island groups and the two enclaves in Morocco. The Canary Islands are served by a boat running from Cadiz. The journey is long, some 48 hours and the sea conditions often make for a rough passage. It may be preferable to fly although as we have already pointed out this can be expensive. Ferries from Tariffa and Algeciras, in the Andalucian province of Cadiz, run to Tanger in Morroco. Ferries also link the enclave of Cueta with Tariffa, Algeciras and Malaga. Mellila, the other enclave is served by a boats out of Malaga and Almeria. The Balearic Islands have services to the mainland running to Barcelona, Valencia and Denia.

More information about Spain can be found at the Spanish Travel Guide

Whether you are looking at starting a home business because you are looking for a great way to supplement your income or simply because you are ready to take a step back from the nine to five grind – you’re tired of working for someone else, tired of the commute, tired of not seeing your hard work pay off for you – you owe it to yourself to look at a variety of home business opportunities. After all, when you’re ready to start a home business, you need to be sure that you’re choosing the best home business for you.

What does it take to choose the best home business for your personality? How can you be sure that the home business ideas that you’ve had will prove to be profitable? How can you tell whether the home business opportunities that you are considering are really opportunities and not just cleverly disguised scams?

Choosing the best home business means taking a close look at yourself. Choosing the best home business ideas for you means taking the time to really look at what you are interested in, what you do particularly well and what you can see yourself making a commitment to.

For example, if you love to travel, you might be looking for home business opportunities that will allow you to see the world. While that may seem like a good idea, it’s important to look at the big picture. First, there is a lot of competition and, while most people do look to the internet for their travel needs, you will need to focus on building your reputation.

Further, simply beginning a travel home business will not ensure that you get to be the one who is doing most of the traveling. Because of this, home business opportunities in travel may not be as satisfying for you as you might hope that they would be.

On the other hand, if you are looking at home business ideas and have a great deal of experience in administrative positions, you might find that beginning a home business as a virtual assistant can be quite lucrative and enjoyable. Similarly, if you have held a number of accounting positions and enjoy the work but want to start working for yourself rather than a major company, you’re likely to find that there are great home business opportunities for those who can provide accounting services to small businesses and other home businesses.

Of course, finding home business opportunities do entail looking at more than simply what you are good at, what you are interested in and what you hope to accomplish. Choosing the right home business also means taking into consideration how much time you have to commit to the business, how much space you have in your home and whether or not you will need to invest in additional training and equipment.

If you find that you have a room in your home that can easily be converted into a home office, you are likely to find that you are in a better position to pursue home based opportunities that require a dedicated work space than someone who can only commit a corner of his or her dining room table.

Likewise, if you know that you are only able to commit a couple of hours a day to starting a home business, you are going to want to look for home business opportunities that will not require a full time commitment – at least initially. Knowing whether or not you will need additional training – to return to the example of creating a home business with accounting, if you have no experience or degree in a related field you are less likely to do well in an accounting home business – should also affect your decision.

That’s not to say that if you have an interest in providing accounting services or even tax services that it is not viable as a home business if you do not have the training. It’s merely to point out that, if you are looking for home business opportunities that you can take advantage of immediately, it may not be the best choice. On the other hand, if you are looking for home business ideas that you are willing to work toward, there’s nothing to say that you must rule it out.

Ultimately, there are nearly as many home business ideas as there are individuals who are interested in pursuing home business opportunities. If you are looking to start a home business, focus on your interests and experience. Do some research and, if it’s possible, talk with other home business owners to learn more about how they made the decision to pursue home business opportunities.

Focus on your strengths and weaknesses. Pursue the home business ideas that you have – if only by researching them to see whether or not they really are great opportunities. By taking the time to understand yourself and the home business opportunities that appeal to you, you will find that it is far easier to choose the home business that will be ideal for you.

Ski Resorts for BeginnersBreckenridge

Breckenridge’s Peak Nine training area is one of the best in Colorado for novices and those with intermediate skiing skills. The very smooth, dry snow makes perfecting parallel turns easy, and the high-speed quad chair life means more time to practice and less time traveling. Breckenridge also provides challenging ski slopes for advanced skiers. Many local hotels provide ski-in and ski-out access to Breckenridge’s trails.Buttermilk

Buttermilk took top honors last year in SKI Magazine’s ranking of ski schools nationwide. Buttermilk is part of the Aspen ski resort network, and is ranked second (after Snowmass) as the nation’s best ski destination for families. Classes are small, and the 200 instructors offer personalized instruction designed to get novices on the slopes quickly and safely. All 43 runs are easy enough for beginners, and once you get out of the glut of beginners at the bottom of the slopes, the well-kept trails offer scenic beauty and excellent skiing.Copper Mountain

Copper Mountain is a perennial favorite, also located in Colorado, and offers some of the lowest-priced packages to be had in the Rockies. Long, wide novice trails occupy the west portion of the resort, and progressively more difficult skiing can be found in the eastern half. Located near Vail, Copper Mountain shares the high country’s superb snow conditions and provides adequate if not spectacular lift access.Crested Butte

Crested Butte Another superb Colorado beginner’s venue, features long, smooth, well-groomed runs on which to practice parallel turns and other skiing techniques. Crested Butte, recently the host of the U.S. Extreme Skiing Championship, offers advanced skiing and 150 acres of novice terrain. You can find discount accommodations and even free skiing at specified times. A popular resort for skiing holidays.Deer Valley

Deer Valley Utah is another location that features smooth, well-groomed, open ski slopes and runs that offer beginners a lot of choice without pushing them past their limits. First-time skiers will delight in Wild West, a beginner’s-only area, free from the unexpected assaults of hot-dog professionals. Deer Valley reportedly offers the best food and customer service in the Rockies.Mount Snow Vermont

Mount Snow Vermont is reportedly the best Eastern venue for skiers who want to move up from novice to professional skill level. With a wide choice of rapid lifts on its gentler trails, Mount Snow clearly values the beginning skier, and the excellent cruising runs will keep more advanced skiers happy as wellNorthstar-at-Tahoe

Northstar-at-Tahoe California offers a wide range of ski slopes for the novice and intermediate skier. The terrain is primarily intermediate, and the lower runs are as good as any in the West. For novices who still fear lifts, Tahoe offers a conveyor belt modeled after airport conveyors, called the Magic Carpet, that will whisk them up the slopes without causing a panic attack. Tahoe also has slopes for more advanced skiers.Park City Utah

Park City Utah is large enough to offer an opportunity to all levels of skiers, from the first-timer to the advanced. The 3,100 feet of vertical drop makes it seem like an advanced skier’s resort; the large network of open intermediate runs provides a venue for the intermediate skier, and the addition of several new lifts make even the central runs accessible to beginners. Other good beginner’s resorts include Snowmass, in Colorado, which features a Treehouse Kid’s Adventure Center and the Elk Camp Meadows training center. Or visit Steamboat, high in the Colorado Rockies, famed for its welcoming, down-home atmosphere and 164 trails which cater to everything from the novice to the professional. For Vermonters, Timberline features 1,000 vertical feet of runs and one long beginner’s trail. Upper Midwesterners can ski Welch or Afton, in Minnesota. Afton is reported as less pricey, but Welch offers better beginner’s slopes. The lifts at Welch are a little slow and cranky, but the slopes are groomed more often.

Alexandria, Virginia is an absolute must see for anyone who enjoys and appreciates U.S. History. There are few places that can rival Alexandria for importance in the colonial and Revolutionary War era. In addition, Alexandria played a prominent role in the Civil War. Alexandria was founded in 1749 and is listed on the National Register of Historic Places. Alexandria has much to offer visitors, with its abundance of outstanding examples of colonial architecture, and numerous U.S. National Historic landmarks. One of the notable landmarks is Woodlawn, which has been termed “America’s First Family Home” as it was a gift from George Washington to his nephew. It is the first property of the National Trust. Christ Church is also a U.S. Historic Landmark, and is one of the oldest Episcopal churches in the United States where George Washington and numerous other presidents have worshipped. Gadsby’s Tavern is another landmark that was the site of many political meetings during the Revolutionary and Early American years, and hosted many famous travelers, such as George Washington, Thomas Jefferson and James Madison.
In addition to the National Landmarks, Alexandria also offers visitors the opportunity to see the boyhood home of Robert E. Lee, and the George Washington Masonic Memorial. Other sites of interest include the Alexandria National Cemetery, which contains the graves of 3,500 Civil War soldiers; the Carlyle House, a fully restored 18th century Georgian mansion that was home to one of Alexandria’s founding citizens, John Carlyle; Fort Ward, which is a well preserved Civil War site with daily reenactments; and the Frank Lloyd Wright Pope-Leighey House that is one of the finest examples of the architect’s innovative methods. Ghost tours have also become a popular attraction in Alexandria. Notable stops on these tours include the Ramsey House, which is now the Alexandria’s visitor’s center, and is said to haunted by its original owner, and the Old Town Theatre.
Alexandria is also adjacent to Washington, D.C., which makes it an ideal location from which to explore the nation’s capitol. While it is easy to travel by the Capital Beltway, those who are not used to driving in D.C. may feel uncomfortable with this idea. However, another convenient way to travel between the two cities is by boat. A water taxi service can take visitors across the Potomac River in about 20 minutes. In addition, the Virginia Railway Express and Amtrak both offer very fast train service between Alexandria and Washington D.C.
Any visitor to Alexandria will have a large array of lodging choices. Numerous national chains have properties at a wide range of prices. However, there are a number of charming bed and breakfasts which give a traveler the feeling of being in a truly historical place and they range in price from moderate to expensive. Dining choices also offer a wide range of choices. There are several colonial style restaurants, some with staff in full costume, as well as Southern barbeque, seafood, charming cafes, and various chain restaurants.
In summary, any traveler who loves history will find many great places to explore and appreciate in Alexandria.

Germany has long been a mover and shaker of European history, creating waves in time for the rest of the continent to ride out. From Charlemagne and Otto von Bismarck to Nazism and the Cold War, Germany has become the epicenter of cutting-edge culture and music, and centuries of tradition and fine arts. The juxtaposition of medieval towns against ultra-modern industrialism is a fascinating reality to experience.
Thriving Urban Centers of Germany
The capital city of Berlin is by far the most dynamic and diverse metropolis for the German traveler. Despite reunification projects since the Wall came down in 1989, the city is still very much divided between the cosmopolitan chic of the West and the tattered Communist remains of the East. The Stasi Museum, located in East Berlin, is home to the former State Security Service. The intelligence body spied on and badgered citizens throughout the Communist era from this building. The Brandenburger Tor is a monumental building built in 1792 as one of the city’s 14 gates. The history of this landmark is tied directly with the enclosing of West Germany from the East as it was essentially barricaded in by the Berlin Wall.
In addition to the other popular urban destinations of Munich and Frankfurt, Aachen (also known as Aix-la-Chapelle) should not be missed on a German visit. It is considered the most international of cities in Germany, situated close to the Belgian and Netherlands borders. Many citizens and travelers enjoy regular access to both border nations. The main draw is the Aachen Dom (Aachen Cathedral), which is the oldest landmark in Germany. Emperor Charlemagne had the chapel constructed over 1200 years ago and Holy Roman Emperors were coroneted here for nearly 600 years. The cathedral is also alleged to possess Christ’s loincloth as part of its collection.
Fables and Fairytales
The German landscape is still comparable to your favorite fairytale or Robin Hood adventure. Castles in the sky preside over the rich green forests where Hansel and Gretel ventured to meet their witch. The Black Forest (Schwarzwald) is famous for its intense evergreen canopy, vast outdoor activities and secluded get-a-ways. It also happens to be where Nobel Prize winner Hermann Hesse spent much of his life living and writing. The Maulbronn monastery, situated in the forest’s north end, is a UNESCO World Heritage sight that has been carefully preserved. The entire wooded expanse is dotted with medieval and farm towns and is fairly easy to navigate by train.
The notorious 19th century Bavarian king, Ludwig II (Ludwig Friedrich Wilhelm), left his personal legend all over the German countryside in the form of extravagantly ornate castles. Schloss Neuschwanstein is Ludwig’s (and Germany’s) most famous construction, particularly because he contracted a stage designer rather than an architect to do the job. Although the monstrosity was never actually finished, visitors may enjoy concerts in the castle’s centerpiece, Minstrel’s Hall, every September.
Along Germany’s southwest border, The Rhine Valley stretches as a monument to the country’s timeless culture and love affair with art, wine, food and beer. The Middle Rhine Valley (also a World Heritage sight) is the most popular segment, studded with medieval and gothic towns and wineries that hold their own festivals annually. Additionally, WWII has left its distinct mark throughout the region despite the incredible restoration efforts undertaken over the years.
Social revolutions, wars and a fair share of domestic turmoil combined with the legacy of the Holy Roman Empire and the split of the Protestant Church all make Germany unmistakably unique and internationally modern. Travel Germany and discover that it’s not all about the Beer Gardens!

Fitness travel is an emerging new trend in weight loss and traveling. Its increasing popularity can be due to the piling up items in our daily to-do lists, and the shortening length of time we have to accomplish them. It is safe to say that these are among the things that make our day-to-day lives incredibly exhausting. There are just so many things to do in so little time. The way we hurry our meals, skip exercises and shorten our hours of sleep in order to accomplish the tasks given to us just weakens both our bodies and minds.
The words “fitness” and “travel” put together might seem odd to a lot of people. Traveling has always been associated to gaining weight. That is primarily because when we travel, there are two things we are usually so eager to do – laze around and eat like there is no tomorrow. Fitness travel alters that common notion by the unique itineraries it offers without compromising the fun travel experience that you wish to have.
Fitness travel gives you the chance to experience the most beautiful places that the world has to offer and, at the same time, the chance to finally engage yourself in a physical activity and training that would allow you to take care of yourself physically and mentally. It is like hitting two birds with one stone. You get to do the two things that the busy and fast-paced lifestyle you have does not give you the luxury of time for. A variety of programs are offered by fitness travel that consist of physical activities while you enjoy an exciting and adventurous trip.
The programs that fitness travel has are very strategic. Unlike the usual vacation packages and tours that you can join, fitness travel programs begin one month prior to your trip. On that one month, you are going to be assessed by health coaches to determine the type of physical activities your body is fit to endure. At the same time, exercise instructions and meal suggestions are given to you. This is to get you physically and mentally ready to do the activities and challenges that they are going to prepare for your trip. There are going to be other participants on the trip, but you can be sure that the programs and exercises are tailored for your strength and capabilities. Plus, it is a guarantee that no physical challenge will be forced on any participant.
The fitness travel program progresses all throughout your trip with the activities that are facilitated by amiable and trained professionals. Fitness travel offers a varying physical activities. They also come in different levels of difficulty. Some of the activities are going on a hike with experienced tour guides, yoga, pilates, resistance and functional training and other core training exercises. These activities not only give benefits to your body, but also to your mind. Yoga, for instance, is a very powerful tool to ease your mind, giving you better attitude and perspective. Serenity and tranquility, the two things we rarely have in our everyday lives, can be achieved through practicing yoga. In addition to these activities, there are seminars and other educational talks that you can join or listen to in order for you to acquire more information on how to beef yourself up physically and mentally. There are aimed to help you cope with all the worries and stress you have to deal with everyday.
Fitness travel understands that a vacation cannot be completed without spoiling yourself a little with food. In fact, travelers even say that to fully experience a new place, you must have a taste of the local cuisine. That is why it is no surprised that nutritionists and dietitians complete the team of health coaches, personal trainers and professional guides. These doctors prepare menus with all the sumptuous and mouthwatering local dishes in appropriate proportions. You can rest assured that the meals served give you the recommended daily nutritional intake to keep you strong and healthy.
The fitness travel programs do not end as soon as your trip ends. It is continued until one month after your trip by having the health coaches do some post-tour monitoring on you. You are given a month-long nutritional and exercise analyses to keep you focused.
Traveling has never been this beautiful and fulfilling. There are indeed so many ways to wander around the world, and fitness travel allows you to explore and enjoy it with a healthy and strong mind and body.

If you are planning to come to the city of Delhi in India during 2010 Delhi commonwealth games, then it is important to know the facilities of the local transportation available in Delhi. Majority of the people in Delhi use local transport facilities to commute from one place to another. The availability of different modes and means of transportation system has added to their convenience of traveling. Some of the common modes of transport which are mostly used in the city range from taxis and buses to the trains.1. Transport in DelhiTaxisFor the visitors to the Delhi commonwealth games, taxis would serve as a convenient transport. Most of the taxis in Delhi are run by the tourism ministry of India. There are private operators too. You can avail taxis for traveling to the local sites as well as for long distances. To hire a taxi, you need to access the taxi stand or seek the help of the taxi service provider by telephone. Just remember that taxi journey proves little expensive.BusesBus services can be availed at cheap rates. Boasting one of the biggest bus networking systems in India, Delhi provides you an access to more than 2000 public buses. Some of the buses are run by private operators and some of them are operated by Delhi Transport Corporation (DTC). The city has also introduced CNG buses. These are environmental friendly. RTVs or Rural Transport VehiclesYou can also avail the services of the rural transport vehicles. But these ply on fewer routes only.Auto RickshawsCostly than buses and cheaper to taxis, the auto rickshaw services are easily available. However, you need to be little careful while going for this service. Many auto drivers do not agree to follow meters. If this happens, you are recommended to bargain a little for fare in advance.

This article is about the Lhasa travel and Tibet travel. You can find some helpful information in it if you are planning your trip to Tibet now.

Tibet is a mysterious land. It is called the “roof of the world” and there are many beautiful stories about this old-line place. You will not feel this unique attraction until you are really standing here in the land of Tibet.

Here are some tips for your first time travel to Tibet:1. To get in Tibet by air is not a very good choice. The sudden transition of the altitude will possibly cause the severe altitude sickness, which is a big concern for your Lhasa travel or Tibet travel.

2. The Qinghai-Tibet train began to operate in July 2006. It took less than 48 hours to travel from Beijing to Tibet by train. The cheapest ticket is only 389 RMB .This kind of transportation is better than the air because you can slowly adapt to Tibet’s high altitude instead of a sudden transition of the altitude if you take the plane. The railways are now connected Tibet directly with Beijing, Chengdu, Chongqing, Lanzhou and Xining. You can find more details about the train services to Tibet from our website: Travel2ChinaInfo Dot COM (Lhasa travel, Tibet travel and China vacations Info)

3. You can bring some fruits and bread on your way to Tibet. For the first time travellers to Tibet, the chance to get some altitude sickness is pretty big and you will not have the appetite for regular food because of this sickness. Most people vomitted after eating meats. Fruits are very good choice in this kind of situation.

4. Some medicines(Like flu medicine, antidiarrheal, woundplast, etc) are very helpful for your Lhasa travel or Tibet travel. Some people said that the flu would cause the severe altitude sickness and kill the first time Tibet travellers. Actually it is not that terrifying to get some cold in Tibet. You need to take some flu medicine immediatly when you have a cold or fever. This will help to alleviate the altitude sickness in Tibet.

5. If you arrive at Lhasa,Tibet on the midnight, the motels near the railway station is a good choice for you. Some people believe that it will consume too much oxygen if you have a shower in Tibet. This is a ridiculous theory from the travellers getting in Tibet by air. You don’t need to worry about this oxygen issue if you got here by train and your body is going to stink after the long time travel if you don’t have a shower. The price for these motels is about 70 rmb for a two beds room with hot water.

6. If you don’t like the motels in Tibet, you can choose the Balang hostel, Jiri hostel or Xueyu hotel instead. The advantage is that you can find some friends with common interests there and share the costs for the Tibet trip. Balang hostel: 70 rmb for a two beds room, 90 rmb for a three beds room, 100 rmb for a four beds room. 24 hours hot water and laundry services are available in Balang hostel.

7. It is really cold in the morning and you will need to wear a sweater or jacket. Do not take the risk because you will be in big trouble if you get a cold in Tibet.

8. To get out of Tibet by air is a smart choice. You don’t need to worry about the altitude sickness anymore and there are airline services available every day in Lhasa. The cost is 1200 rmb from Lhasa to Chengdu and the taxi service from the downtown of Lhasa to Lhasa Gongga airport costs 120 rmb.
